Interpretation
(Delegations by Minister for
Trade and Industry) Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Interpretation Act 1965, the Minister for Trade and Industry makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Interpretation (Delegations by Minister for Trade and Industry) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 1 March 2024.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “MTI political office holder” means —
(a)any Second Minister for Trade and Industry;
(b)any Minister of State assigned by the Prime Minister to assist the Minister for Trade and Industry; and
(c)any Parliamentary Secretary assigned by the Prime Minister to assist the Minister for Trade and Industry.
Delegations to political office holders
3.  The Minister for Trade and Industry, with the Prime Minister’s approval, delegates the functions under the provisions of the Acts specified in the first column of the Schedule to the persons specified in the third column of the Schedule, subject to the conditions (if any) specified in the fourth column of the Schedule.
