Infectious Diseases Act
(CHAPTER 137)
Infectious Diseases (Notification of Infectious
Diseases) (Exemption) Regulations 2015
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 71 and 73(1) of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Infectious Diseases (Notification of Infectious Diseases) (Exemption) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 29 May 2015.
Exemption from section 6 of Act
2.—(1)  Subject to paragraph (2), section 6 of the Act does not apply to any registered medical practitioner practising in, or any employee of, any of the medical clinics set out in the Schedule in relation to the administration of an anonymous test on any person for HIV Infection.

(2)  Nothing in paragraph (1) is to be construed as exempting any registered medical practitioner or employee referred to in that paragraph from the duty under section 6 of the Act to notify the Director if a person on whom an anonymous test is administered is found to be suffering from, or to be a carrier of, any infectious disease other than HIV Infection.

(3)  In this regulation, “anonymous test” means a test where no identifying information is asked of the person seeking the test.
Revocation
3.  The Infectious Diseases (Notification of Infectious Diseases) (Exemption) Order 2006 (G.N. No. S 300/2006) is revoked.
