Misuse of Drugs (Board of Visitors for Community Rehabilitation Centres) Regulations 2014 |

Citation and commencement |
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Board of Visitors for Community Rehabilitation Centres) Regulations 2014 and shall come into operation on 28th April 2014. |
Definitions |
2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

Board of Visitors |
3. There shall be appointed a Board of Visitors for all centres to advise and make recommendations to the respective Superintendent of the respective centre or centres in respect of the matters referred to in regulation 9. |
Number of board members |
4.—(1) The number of members of the Board shall be at the discretion of the Minister.

5. A member of the Board shall —

Termination of office |
6. A person appointed as a member of the Board shall cease to hold such appointment —

Vacancy |
7. A vacancy occurring in the Board shall be filled by a fresh appointment made by the Minister, and the person appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for as long as the member in whose place the person is appointed would have held office. |
Assistance from Superintendent |
8. The Superintendent of a centre must assist any member of the Board in the exercise of that member’s powers and the discharge of that member’s functions under these Regulations in relation to that centre. |

10. No fewer than 2 members of the Board shall visit each centre at least once every month. |
