Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal)
(Composition of Offences) Regulations 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31(1) of the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) Act 2017, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 8 September 2017.
Compoundable offences
2.  The following offences may be compounded by the Director in accordance with section 28 of the Act:
(a)any offence under section 4(7), 15(4) or (5) or 23(5) of the Act;
(b)any offence under regulation 4 of the Merchant Shipping (Wreck Removal) (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations 2017 (G.N. No. S 500/2017).
