(Land Authorisation —
Miscellaneous Amendments)
Notification 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(6) of the Planning Act 1998, the Minister for National Development makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Notification is the Planning (Land Authorisation — Miscellaneous Amendments) Notification 2022 and, except for paragraphs 2(b) and (c), 3(c), (d) and (e), 4(1)(b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) and (2), 5(b), 6(b) and (c) and 7(1)(b), (d) and (e) and (2), comes into operation on 1 August 2022.
(2)  Paragraphs 2(b) and (c), 3(c), (d) and (e), 4(1)(b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) and (2), 5(b), 6(b) and (c) and 7(1)(b), (d) and (e) and (2) are deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for National Parks Board) Notification
2.  In paragraph 2 of the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for National Parks Board) Notification (N 8) —
(a)replace the definition of “floor area” with —
“ “floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;
(b)in the definition of “National Parks Board”, replace “(Cap. 198A)” with “1996”; and
(c)in the definition of “Singapore Land Authority”, replace “(Cap. 301)” with “2001”.
Amendment of Planning (Child Care Centre — Authorisation) Notification
3.  In paragraph 2(1) of the Planning (Child Care Centre — Authorisation) Notification (N 10) —
(a)replace the definition of “commercial use” with —
“ “commercial use” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation) Notification (N 1);”;
(b)after the definition of “educational institution building”, insert —
“ “floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;
(c)in the definition of “HDB”, replace “(Cap. 129)” with “1959”;
(d)in the definition of “HDB residential flats building”, after “Housing and Development Act”, insert “1959”; and
(e)in the definition of “Singapore Land Authority”, replace “(Cap. 301)” with “2001”.
Amendment of Planning (Subdivision of Land and Building — Authorisation) Notification 2008
4.—(1)  In paragraph 2 of the Planning (Subdivision of Land and Building — Authorisation) Notification 2008 (G.N. No. S 500/2008) —
(a)replace the definition of “floor area” with —
“ “floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;
(b)in the definition of “lot”, replace “(Cap. 158)” with “1967”;
(c)in the definition of “qualified person”, in paragraph (a), replace “(Cap. 12)” with “1991”;
(d)in the definition of “qualified person”, in paragraph (b), replace “(Cap. 253)” with “1991”;
(e)in the definition of “registered surveyor”, replace “(Cap. 156)” with “1991”; and
(f)in the definition of “strata subdivision”, after “Land Titles (Strata) Act”, insert “1967”.
(2)  In the Planning (Subdivision of Land and Building — Authorisation) Notification 2008 —
(a)in the following provisions, replace “(Cap. 29)” with “1989”:

Amendment of Planning (Housing and Development Board Commercial Premises and Living Quarters Authorisation) Notification 2011
5.  In paragraph 2 of the Planning (Housing and Development Board Commercial Premises and Living Quarters Authorisation) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 81/2011) —
(a)replace the definitions of “commercial use” and “floor area” with —
“ “commercial use” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation) Notification (N 1);
“floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”; and
(b)in the definition of “HDB”, replace “(Cap. 129)” with “1959”.
Amendment of Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Medical Clinics) Notification 2014
6.  In paragraph 2 of the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Medical Clinics) Notification 2014 (G.N. No. S 836/2014) —
(a)replace the definitions of “commercial use” and “floor area” with —
“ “commercial use” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation) Notification (N 1);
“floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;
(b)in the definition of “HDB”, replace “(Cap. 129)” with “1959”; and
(c)in the definition of “medical clinic”, replace “(Cap. 248)” with “1980”.
Amendment of Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Specified Property) Notification 2015
7.—(1)  In paragraph 2 of the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Specified Property) Notification 2015 (G.N. No. S 411/2015) —
(a)delete the definition of “, “health centre” ”;
(b)in the definition of “excluded property”, in paragraph (b), replace “(Cap. 239)” with “2009”;
(c)replace the definition of “floor area” with —
“ “floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;
(d)in the definition of “foreign system school”, replace “section 36 of the Private Education Act (Cap. 247A)” with “section 9 of the Private Education Act 2009”; and
(e)in the definition of “monument”, after “Preservation of Monuments Act”, insert “2009”.
(2)  In paragraph 4(1)(b) of the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Specified Property) Notification 2015, replace “(Cap. 155)” with “1940”.
