Residential Property (Exemption)
Notification 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32(1) of the Residential Property Act, the Minister for Law makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Notification is the Residential Property (Exemption) Notification 2019.
(2)  Paragraph 2(1)(a) and (b) is deemed to have come into operation on 19 July 2005.
(3)  Paragraph 2(1)(c) is deemed to have come into operation on 25 October 2010.
(4)  Paragraph 2(1)(d) is deemed to have come into operation on 8 June 2011.
Exemption
2.—(1)  Subject to sub-paragraph (2), the Act does not apply to the purchase or acquisition by, or any transfer to, any person (other than a housing developer) of any estate or interest in any flat that is a landed dwelling‑house —
(a)specified in the First Schedule;
(b)specified in the Second Schedule;
(c)specified in the Third Schedule; and
(d)specified in the Fourth Schedule.
(2)  Section 4(2) to (10) of the Act applies to any purchase or acquisition by, or any transfer to, a foreign person of any estate or interest in any flat that is a landed dwelling‑house mentioned in sub‑paragraph (1).
(3)  In this paragraph, “housing developer” has the meaning given by section 31(18) of the Act.
