(Exemption for Incidentally Supplied Batteries)
Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50 of the Resource Sustainability Act 2019, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Resource Sustainability (Exemption for Incidentally Supplied Batteries) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 1 January 2020.
Exemption for incidental supply of batteries
2.—(1)  Sections 8 and 18(1)(a) of the Act do not apply in relation to a portable battery or an industrial battery that is supplied only in connection with the supply of another product.
(2)  In this paragraph, “industrial battery” and “portable battery” have the meanings given by regulation 2 of the Resource Sustainability (Prescribed Regulated Products) Regulations 2019 (G.N. No. S 900/2019).
