Citation and commencement |
1. This Order is the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three-wheeled Pedal Cycles and Recumbent Devices — Exemption) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 1 March 2024. |
Definitions |
2. In this Order, “recumbent device” and “three‑wheeled pedal cycle” have the meanings given by rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Construction and Use) Rules 2024 (G.N. No. S 157/2024). |
Exemption for bicycles |
3. Sections 10, 11, 15 and 29(2) of the Act do not apply in respect of a bicycle. |
Exemption for certain three‑wheeled pedal cycles and recumbent devices |
4. Sections 5A, 10, 11, 15 and 29(1) of the Act do not apply in respect of —

Amendment of Road Traffic (Exemptions) (Consolidation) Order |
5. In the Road Traffic (Exemptions) (Consolidation) Order (O 2), in the Schedule, delete the item relating to “Bicycles and tricycles”. |
