Singapore Civil Defence Force Good Service Medal Rules 1994 |

1. These Rules may be cited as the Singapore Civil Defence Force Good Service Medal Rules 1994 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1994. |
3. A medal to be known as “The Singapore Civil Defence Force Good Service Medal” may be awarded to an eligible person in recognition of his good, efficient and faithful service in the Singapore Civil Defence Force subject to the minimum requirement in rule 4. |
4.—(1) An eligible person shall qualify for the award of the Medal if he has rendered —

5. The award of the Medal shall be made by the Commissioner of Civil Defence. |
6. The name of any person to whom the Medal is awarded shall be published in the Gazette. |
7.—(1) A person to whom the Medal is awarded shall forfeit the Medal —

8. The loss or destruction of a Medal shall, if the replacement is desired, be reported by the recipient to the Commissioner of Civil Defence who may, if he is satisfied that the circumstances in which the loss or destruction occurred are such as to justify replacement, approve the replacement subject to payment made by the recipient to cover the cost of replacement thereof. No such report shall be made until 6 months after the alleged loss or destruction. |
9.—(1) The Medal shall consist of a circular medal in 925 sterling silver and shall measure 36 mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness.

10.—(1) The Medal shall be worn by the recipient on the left side of the outer garment and shall be suspended by a ribbon that is 33 mm in width and 50 mm in length.

10A. The miniature version of the Medal shall be identical to the full size Medal as described in rules 9 and 10 except that the dimensions specified in those rules (other than the length of the ribbon) shall be reduced by half. [S 230/2004 wef 27/04/2004] |
11. The Medal shall be of the design set out in the Schedule. |
