In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners' Protection Schemes (Amendment) Act 2018, the Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, Prime Minister’s Office, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who is charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Prime Minister as regards the Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners’ Protection Schemes, makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification is the Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners’ Protection Schemes (Amendment) Act 2018 (Commencement) Notification 2019.

2. The Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners' Protection Schemes (Amendment) Act 2018 comes into operation on 1 April 2019.
